SUMMARY: LC 33 6675 LC 33 6865S

Would require transparency and accuracy of financial information at the local school system and school levels for traditional and charter schools.  The bill lists information required to be included. 

Department of Education must make available on its website specified school system information and school site budget and expenditures 

School districts and state charters with a website must post in a prominent location a link to specified information on the Department of Education's website.  Public schools with a website must also post specified information.

No later than January 1, 2018, the State Board must develop rules and regulations including a template and definitions of budget and expenditure categories and line items.

As soon as possible but no later than October 31, 2018, the Department of Education shall publish the required information on its website.

Would require certain reports by the Office of Student Achievement and the Department of Education.
