Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY: LC 39 1492

Would require drivers of motor vehicles to stop at crosswalks that utilize user activated crossing signals. Would also make it against the law for a person to activate these devices when there is no intent to cross the street. Would also require motor vehicles to stop at crosswalks for bicycle riders. 

 

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2017
