Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SUMMARY: SB 16/AP 

Would increase the list of conditions that are eligible for treatment with medical cannabis. The following conditions are now included: Tourette's syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, epidermolysis bullosa, Alzheimer's's disease, HIV, AIDS and peripheral neuropathy. Persons under 18 years of age must be diagnosed with severe autism to be eligible for treatment with medical cannabis.

 

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2017
