Makes slight updates to provisions and duties of the Chief Turnaround Office including:

• Changes the term “turnaround coach” to “transformation specialist”
• Establishes the Georgia Turnaround Collaborative
• Proves a stipend for “turnaround instructional innovation specialists”
• The CTO would report to the State Superintendent and his staff instead of the Board
• If a vacancy occurs, the Governor will choose the CTO after receiving advice from the State Superintendent and the Education Turnaround Advisory Council
• There would be a 5 year pilot for mentor teachers with a stipend paid by the state and local board. The local board would have to agree to participate in that.
