SUMMARY:

LC 28 9497   LC 28 9581S

Would revise distribution of the proceeds of alternative ad valorem taxes on motor vehicles so that 23% of proceeds go to the county governing authority, 28% of proceeds to the governing authority of such municipality and the remaining 49% distributed to the board of education of the county school district. However if there is a independent school district in such municipality, 23% shall be distributed to the county governing authority, 49% 34% shall be distributed to the governing authority of such muncipality and the remaining 28% 43% shall be distributed to the board of education of the independent school district.  

 

EFFECTIVE DATE:

January 1, 2021, if passed.
