SUMMARY:  SB 106/CSFA

This bill amends the current statute on providing a multi-tiered system of supports for students in PK-3 prior to being suspended or expelled more than five consecutive or cumulative days in a school year.  The bill adds wraparound services which are defined in the bill as services provided to students and, in some instances, their families which provide academic, social, or behavioral support for the student.  A school system could provide multi-tiered system of supports such as response to intervention or wraparound services or provide appropriate referrals for the supports and services.  This would apply to PK-grade 8.
