HOUSE SUBSTITUTE:

This bill would amend Part 14 of Article 6 of Chapter 2 of title 20 of the O.C.G.A. to prohibit any high school that receives QBE funding from participating in or sponsoring any interscholastic sports events conducted by any athletic association unless the association releases annual financial reports. Those reports would have to be published and provided to its members regarding the association’s activities for the preceding calendar or fiscal year to include assets, liabilities, income, and operating expenses. The substitute now contains the same language as SB 343 regarding the reinstitute of the General Assembly High School Athletics Overview Committee, but there is no language regarding the executive committee, trustees or related committees.
