 This legislation allows for businesses or residential building owners to apply to the county for permits to operate for no longer than three (3) hours per day, and requires those food services to comply with all catering rules.

Coroners/Medical Examiners General County Government Public Safety and Courts Todd Edwards

This legislation authorizes counties to establish the compensation of coroners and deputy coroners, unless said salaries are already covered by local legislation.  Counties with a population of less than 34,999 must continue to offer the state's minimum salaries.  Counties are able to offer COLAs and longevity increases (which are currently required), but there can be no double dipping on state, then local COLAs.  Counties can elect not to set these salaries, but maintain the status quo spelled out in state law.

This legislation authorizes chief medical examiners to inter unidentified human remains after the peace officer in charge has exhausted all efforts in identifying such remains.  Furthermore, the medical examiner has authority to disinter remains when he or she determines the further information can be obtained that may result in the identification of the remains.

This bill provides an exemption from state and local sales and use tax for sales by or to a nonprofit which has as its primary purpose the presentation of horse shows, rodeos, or livestock exhibits of events. It also applies to entrant participation fees and public admission tickets.
