This bill adds steps to the process of revoking a sales tax or liquor license by requiring approval by the Board of Equalization.  WAM will work to maintain local government authority.

WAM ACTION: 2/10/17, passed House COW, this bill does not diminish local governments ability to revoke or suspend a license, it allows the State Liquor Division to revoke if sales taxes are not paid.

This bill gives county jails the option to house out-of-state prisoners. WAM members working with counties on jail expenses could be impacted positively by counties accepting these additional prisoners.  Out of state prisoners cannot repla in state prisioner housing as needed.
