SUMMARY: 33 9225

The bill would remove the sunset date in two bills passed last year:

SB 345 prohibited requiring proof of having received the COVID vaccine as a condition of receiving service or accessing a facility in school districts and other government agencies.  It was set to be repealed June 30, 2023 but this bill would leave it on the books.

SB 514, the "Unmask Georgia Students Act," prohibited any public school from requiring masks for students whether by local board policy, district regulation, school or classroom rule without providing a parental optout. It included a repeal date of June 30, 2027 but this bill would leave it state law.

EFFECTIVE DATE:

If passed, effective upon signature of Governor
