Bio

Ricky grew up in rural Lonoke County working on his parent's farm and helping with the family's residential construction business. After graduating from Cabot High School, he went on to earn his Master's Degree in Agriculture Business and Economics from Arkansas State University. While at ASU, Ricky founded the ASU Rodeo Club and competed as a bull rider on the ASU Rodeo team. This led to him joining the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and competing on the professional rodeo circuit for 4 years. During this time, he married his wife Cynthia who was a professional barrel racer. Returning to Cabot after college, Ricky was hired by SF Services. As the company's youngest general manager, he managed 3 farm supply stores in the central Arkansas area for 10 years before transitioning to the field of banking. He now is an Executive Vice President with Bank of the Ozarks and Operator of his family farm. He and Cynthia own residential rental property, which she manages. Believing in the importance of community service, Ricky served on the Cabot School Board from 2012 through 2017, acting as Board President for this previous year. He is involved with the Cabot Chamber of Commerce, where he is a former Secretary, and Lonoke County CASA, where he is a former board member. Ricky was a founding board member of the Keep the Faith Foundation and is active in Cabot Rotary, the Little Rock Air Force Base Community Council, Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. He and his family are members of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Ricky and Cynthia have two children. Their son Glenn is an officer in the United States Navy and is currently stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola for Flight Training. Their daughter Julie is a freshman at Texas A&M University where she is majoring in Business Information Systems and is a barrel racer on the Texas Aggie Rodeo Team.
