Senator Jason Rapert has extensive business experience as a small business owner, licensed financial advisor and insurance agent. Throughout his career he has worked for regional and national investment firms and built his own business in Conway, Arkansas. He consults private clients through his firm Providence Financial Group, Inc., and continues to touch the world through Christian ministry as founder and president of Holy Ghost Ministries. Rapert is also Founder & President of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers, Inc. which made history when it was formed on August 5, 2020, becoming the first national association of Christian lawmakers ever to be formed in the history of the United States of America. The association boasts having 26 charter state chairs and many new members across the country representing states with a total U.S. population of 170 million American citizens. The mission of the association is to bring federal, state, and local lawmakers together in support of clear Biblical principles by meeting regularly to discuss important issues, propose model statutes, ordinances and resolutions to address major policy concerns from a Biblical worldview. Jason has been married to his wife Laurie for 31 years and they have two daughters. They live on their family farm in the Arkansas River Valley near Conway, Arkansas. Jason lives his life to serve others. His faith-based humanitarian missions organization Holy Ghost Ministries has provided clean water, emergency food supplies, poverty assistance, financial support and student scholarships to the poor and orphans of Ghana West Africa, Uganda, and the Philippines. Back home, and throughout his legislative career, Senator Rapert has been recognized with numerous local, state and national awards for his service to the community and in his mission efforts abroad. A dedicated Christian and lifelong resident of Arkansas, Senator Rapert has been married to his wife Laurie for 30 years. They reside on their family farm on the banks of the Arkansas River just outside of Conway, Arkansas. Jason has been a consistent defender of our shared values in the Arkansas State Senate, from protecting the unborn to defending our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. He believes that all life is sacred, which is why he sponsored the historic and first successful Heartbeat Bill in the entire country. Jason has received the endorsement of Arkansas Right to Life many times and was awarded the "Hero For Life Award" by Faith2Action in Ohio. Jason, an NRA Life Member with an A+ rating, has always stood up against the liberal machine that wishes to weaken the Second Amendment in our country-and always will. In addition to his service in the Arkansas State Senate, Jason serves as Founder and President of the National Association of Christian Lawmakers (NACL), which successfully launched this year. With elected officials serving as state chairs in 23 states representing a total U.S. population of 170 million people, the NACL is prepared to do its part to try and save this nation for future generations. Our nation has strayed too far from our Judeo-Christian foundation and Jason is uniting with lawmakers across the entire country to restore the honor of God in America. In the State Senate, Jason led the charge to cut taxes on groceries, used cars, capital gains, and our state income tax. Given the sacrifices veterans have made for America, Jason made exempting military retirement benefits from state income taxes a personal priority. When his bill to remove the final remaining discretionary sales tax on groceries took effect on January 1, 2019, it was reported that Arkansas taxpayers would be keeping $65,000,000 dollars more a year in their own pockets to use for their families' needs.
