| Nancy has lived in Arizona most of her life. She attended NAU and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Math. She has lived all over our state including Phoenix, Sierra Vista as a military spouse and teacher and Tucson since 2007. She and her husband have raised their two daughters in Tucson. She has held an Arizona Teaching Credential since 1994 and has taught in Paradise Valley, Sierra Vista and currently teaches yoga at Tucson High since 2013. She earned her 500 hour Certified Yoga Teacher training at Yoga Oasis, has taught classes in Tucson since 2009, and currently teaches yoga at Tucson High. She has continually searched out leadership positions. She volunteered for several years in her daughters' classrooms and served as President of the Manzanita Elementary FFO. She was the Physical Education Department Chair for five years and is currently on the Safety Committee. In 2017, she served on the board of the Tucson chapter of the National Organization for Women and was elected as the President of that organization in 2018. She is committed to working to make our community vital and vibrant. |
