Bio

Assemblymember Diane Papan was elected to the California State Assembly in November of 2022 to represent the 21st Assembly District. Assemblymember Papan served as Deputy Mayor of San Mateo, elected in 2015. A recognized regional leader, Diane champions local interests at the City & County Association of Governments, Council of Cities, 101 Express Lanes Joint Powers Authority, and Flood & Sea Level Rise Resiliency Board. A graduate of UCLA and Hastings Law School, Diane and her husband are proud parents of a teenage daughter.
