I am running for Colorado State Representative because I can effectively represent House District 50, and I know
how to run an effective campaign to retain the seat. This is the time for me to use my expertise and energy to move
a legislative agenda that primarily focuses on Mental Health. We need to continue to expand and deepen students
access to Mental Health services as the STEM students so effectively chanted at the memorial service after the
shooting at their school. This obviously impacts school safety.

POLICY/LEGISLATIVE FOCUS
h Mental Health iV Increase access to Mental Health services in schools and our communities. More
School Psychologists and other school and community Mental Health professionals are needed.
h School Safety iV Improved Mental Health services will improve school safety.
h Education iV P-12 education in Colorado is seriously underfunded. Comprehensive funding
reform needs to continue to be pursued.
h Disability Issues iV There are many issues, including residential support and transportation, but
programs preparing individuals for community employment is a priority.
h Issues Impacting Working Families iV As Democrats we need to be continuing to build a society
where all families feel the positive effects of our booming economy. One important area is access
to affordable child care. Another issue is increasing access in Weld for families to access
appropriate services for their children with developmental disabilities.
