Michael Caldwell is the Republican Representative for Georgia's 20th House district. He was
also the fifth employee and partial owner of a company called Python Safety (acquired by
Capital Safety, then subsequently acquired by 3M in 2015) which specialized in dropped object
prevention solutions. He authored the most widely adopted drop prevention safety procedure in
the world which currently governs nearly 100,000 workers and has spent much of his career
traveling the globe speaking on this leading cause of death in the workplace.
He grew up in Woodstock, Georgia after having lived in Michigan, California, Texas, North
Carolina and Georgia. He married his high school sweetheart Katie, and they are the parents of
Oliver. After attending Cherokee County Schools, Michael earned his Bachelors in Business
Administration majoring in Finance from Kennesaw State University in less than three years.
Michael, Katie and Oliver live in Towne Lake and are proud to represent Woodstock, Towne
Lake and Holly Springs in Georgia's House of Representatives. He serves on the Economic
Development, Code Revision, Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight and State Planning &
Community Affairs committees, and was sworn into office in January of 2013. |
