| State Representative Matt Reeves represents Suwanee, Sugar Hill and Duluth in Georgia State
House District 99.
Rep. Reeves serves as a member of the House Majority Caucus Whip Team and as the vice
chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and as Secretary of the Reapportionment and
Redistricting Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations, Appropriations Subcommittee on
General Government and Insurance committees.
Rep. Reeves fights for Gwinnett County's taxpayers and homeowners in Georgia's second
largest county and the home of the state's largest school system.
He is a real estate and business litigation partner at Andersen, Tate & Carr, the largest fullservice law firm outside of the perimeter in Metro Atlanta. Reeves graduated with honors from
University of Georgia School of Law and Mercer University.
Matt lives in Duluth with his wife, Suzette, and three teenage children. His mother-in-law, a
retired teacher, lives nearby. Rep. Reeves and his family are active members of Perimeter
Church. Reeves is a native of Americus and grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He has lived in
Gwinnett County since 2003.
Reeves has dedicated his time to public service for the past two decades, serving as president of
the Gwinnett County Bar Association, president of Duluth Rotary Club and member of the
Duluth Parks Board. From 2008 to 2009, he also served as legal counsel to State Rep. Wendell
Willard of the House Judiciary Committee and the Evidence Code Commission. |
