| Senator Randy Robertson, a Republican from Mus-cogee, was elected in 2018 to serve the 29th Senate Dis-trict.
Sen. Robertson serves as a secretary on Public Safety Committee and is a member of the Insurance and Labor, Retirement and State and Local Government Operations Committees. He also serves as an ex-officio member of the Government Oversight Committee.
Sen. Robertson is a 30-and-a-half year law enforcement veteran, retiring from the Muscogee County Sheriff's office in 2015. He attended Command College at Columbus State University, and the FBI National Academy in Quan-tico, Virginia. He is active in the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and currently serves as the President of the FOP Georgia State Lodge.
Sen. Robertson has been active in civic and political issues for nearly three decades. While focusing on public safety, Sen. Robertson is also committed to strengthening infra-structure, striving for excellence in education, and devel-oping an environment where entrepreneurship and small businesses thrive.
Sen. Robertson is married to his wife Theresa Garcia Rob-erson, and they have three children together- Candice, Sara Elizabeth, and Seth. They also have three grand-daughters; Skylar, Sally, and Kindall. Sen. Robertson and his family are members of the First Baptist Church in Co-lumbus and reside in Cataula, Georgia. |
