Sen. Clint Dixon, a Republican, was elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2020, representing Senate District 45, which includes portions of Gwinnett and Barrow Counties. Sen. Dixon serves as Chair of the Senate Committee on State and Local Governmental Operations. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Transportation and as Secretary of the Senate Appropriations Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Senate Committees on Rules and MARTOC. He serves as an Ex-Officio member of the Senate Committee on Economic Development and Education and Tourism. Sen. Dixon contributes to his community through various roles, including as a member of the Gwinnett County Planning Commission, where he worked with homeowners, businesses, and landowners on zoning decisions. He also served on the Water and Sewer Authority, advocating for the Ivy Creek Overlay. In business, Sen. Dixon is self-made, with a strong background in real estate. He founded Longleaf Realty in 2010, specializing in bank-owned properties, and later worked as the Real Estate, Construction, and Site Selection Manager for Hewatt Enterprises. He currently serves as an Acquisition Manager for Chafin Homes. A dedicated family man, Sen. Dixon has been married to his wife, Hayden, for many years. They have three children- Hudson, Berkley, and Emsley,
