Bio

Kyle Pierce was elected in 2022 to represent House District 36 in the Indiana General Assembly. He is a pragmatic, Conservative Hoosier focused on championing higher-paying jobs, protecting individual liberties, empowering families to have more choice in their children's education, and promoting government transparency. Born and raised in Central Indiana, Pierce is from a proud manufacturing and military family. He is the grandson of two lifetime General Motors employees and was raised to understand the value of hard work. In 2023, he supported legislation providing one of Indiana's largest tax cut packages, saving an estimated $430 million for hardworking Hoosiers. He also supported a bill to provide $100 million in property tax relief for homeowners beginning this year. Pierce also co-authored a bill to lower healthcare costs and create greater transparency in Indiana's largest hospital systems through a new Health Care Cost Oversight Task Force. In 2023, Pierce co-sponsored a bill launching a new statewide infrastructure for mental health services, including expanding the number of behavioral health clinics. The legislation also expanded the 988 Suicide Crisis Lifeline to ensure Hoosiers in crisis have someone to call, somewhere to go, and someone to respond to during an emergency. He is a graduate of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and Ball State University and is a consultant for nonprofits and small businesses. Pierce, his wife, and two children live in Anderson.
