| Mike King is a fourth generation Kansan to live on the family farm just outside of Hesston. Nearly 100 years ago, Mike's grandfather moved from farming and carpentry into full-time construction across the state, planting the seed that Mike has followed.
Mike's passion for building and entrepreneurship have led him to work for large business. He also owned several construction-related businesses, including King Enterprise Group, which he sold to Hutton in 2012.
Faith and family are the two pillars in Mike's life with Hesston MB as his home church. He has been married to his wife, Peggy, for 39 years. His union with her has brought them four children, 2 sons in law, and the expectation of their first grandchildren in early 2024.
Serving as Kansas Secretary of Transportation was the beginning of Mike's interest in public service. The timing is right to return to Topeka as the State Representative for District 74 in the 2024 election cycle. |
