Bio

Brach serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for LHC Group, a Nasdaq listed company based in Lafayette providing post-acute healthcare services in more than 40 states, employing more than 30,000 clinicians and healthcare professionals across the U.S. The local company was founded by Brach's parents more than 25 years ago, and for the past two decades, Brach has helped to grow it into a leading employer and health care provider, playing a frontline role in fostering strong partnerships between LHC Group and the organizations over 300 hospitals and healthcare systems partners throughout the nation. Brach's roots run deep in Acadiana. He was born and raised in Palmetto and spent a few formative years in New Iberia before settling down in Lafayette with his wife, Carly, where he has given his time and talent to local nonprofit organizations, particularly those focused on lifting up Acadiana's youth. Brach is running for the District 45 seat in the Louisiana House of Representatives currently held by Rep. Jean-Paul Coussan, who is seeking another office. Election Day is Saturday, October 14, 2023. He currently serves as Founder and Chair Emeritus of The Boys & Girls Clubs in Louisiana - a 501c3 supporting efforts of all Boys & Girls Clubs programs throughout the State that aims at ensuring growth and sustainability for youth programs in areas of the State where the need is the greatest. In addition, Brach currently serves as Vice Chairman for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Louisiana Alliance (a 501c4 advocacy group), and he remains a committed and impactful board member of his local community board at Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana. Brach was the recipient of the 2016 Boys and Girls Clubs New Board Member of the Year Award in the State of Louisiana. In 2019 he was awarded the Louisiana Board Member of the Year award, and in 2020 the Southeastern United States Board Member of the Year Award, which was presented to him by Jim Clark, CEO of Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Brach is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership's Leader Development Program. He is a recent 2021 addition to the board of directors for the Community Foundation of Acadiana, where he serves on the Finance, Business Development, and Nominating Committees. Brach serves the investment committee of Ochsner Health System's Foundation Innovation Fund and is a board member of the Episcopal School of Acadiana (ESA). In addition, he also serves the Community Advisory Board for the Junior League of Acadiana and plays a vital role in setting strategy and creating positive community impact through his families own charitable foundation - The Myers Family Foundation. In his past, he has served a two-year term on the Lafayette Parish Government's Recreation Commission and was a past appointee of the Emerging Leaders Council for the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI). He has served as past Finance Chair for the St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial Project which helped to bring a permanent structure to honor Veterans in his hometown.
