Carrie Rheingans has deep roots in Michigan. She grew up in a rural town in Michigan, and her great-grandfather was the minister at the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church in Jackson County for five years. Carrie earned three degrees (B.S., M.P.H., and M.S.W.) from the University of Michigan, and now works as a project director for the Michigan Public Health Institute and a lecturer at the UM School of Social Work. Carrie lives in western Ann Arbor with her husband and 5-year old daughter.
Carrie is active in the community. She serves on the Washtenaw County Board of Health, Washtenaw Emergency Medical Services Commission, is vice-chair of programming for the Ann Arbor Democratic Club and is a member of the American Federation of Teachers Local 6244. |
