Tom Kuhn has been happily married to his wife Sherry for over twenty-five years. They have three adult children, Chris, Kaye and Robert, as well as four grandchildren.
Tom received his BA in political science at the University of Michigan, before attending graduate school at the University of Toronto. Tom received his MA and PhD in political science, and then got a JD from Detroit College of Law (now MSU College of Law). He has been a practicing attorney for more than 35 years.
Tom has been very active in neighborhood, community and county service. He served 10 years as Lakes Chair for Emerald Lakes Village homeowners' association. He participated many years in youth sports as a coach and board member.
He also was elected twelve years to Royal Oak City Council, twelve years to the Oakland Community College board and the past 4 years as an Oakland County Commissioner representing the 11th District (portions of the cities of Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills and Troy). |
