| I believe in people. I believe in a government that believes in and invests in all people. I moved to Rochester MN in fourth grade. I graduated from Rochester Public Schools. While in high school I started working at a local group home and feel in love with working with people with disabilities. I stayed close to home and graduated from Winona State with a dual major in special education. I taught briefly before going into the non-profit world where I worked for 10 years. I recently made a move to policy work. I work fearlessly and passionately for families and people in Southeastern Minnesota because the system is not working for everyone. The system should work the same for everyone. Along with my amazing husband LaMar Hicks we are raising four children. This year we have senior, sixth grader, fourth grader and Kindergartener. |
