| Kevin Crutchfield is a lifelong Republican with a conservative background deeply rooted in family values. After winning a seat in the NC House in 2022 he quickly found success in the General Assembly- he was elected by his colleagues as the Freshman Majority Leader, founded and co-chairs the House Small Business Caucus, introduced legislation to reduce government overreach, and helped secure over $185 million in appropriations for his district. Kevin is seeking re-election for the State House District 82.
Kevin is an alumni of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he and his wife, Cheryl, raised three sons who were actively involved in sports in Cabarrus County schools. After a successful fifteen-year career at IBM, Kevin and Cheryl founded Casco Signs in 1998, which has since grown into a multimillion-dollar entity and the region's premier sign company. Casco serves clients nationally, ranging from small startups to large corporations such as Harris Teeter, Autobell Carwash, Firebirds, La Madelines, and the Carolina Panthers.
Devoted to philanthropy, Kevin and Cheryl actively support area charities, sponsoring Habitat for Humanity Home Building Projects, assisting students with STEM projects, and providing services and signage to various non-profit organizations. Kevin has held positions on boards, including the United States Sign Council, Southern States Sign Council, Cabarrus County GOP Board, Rowan Cabarrus Community College Foundation Board, the Hospitality and Tourism Authority of Charlotte Board, and Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Board. He is also a member of the International Car Wash Association.
In addition to Casco Signs, Kevin and Cheryl manage three other businesses- The Crutchfield Group, a real estate holding company and equipment leasing operation; Castaway Properties, LLC, as the majority owner and managing partner; and Crutchfield Farms, a recent venture providing high-quality locally raised beef. Their most cherished accomplishment is their family, which includes three sons, daughters-in-law, and nine grandchildren, all raised in Cabarrus County. Family is a central motivator for Kevin's political aspirations, seeking to represent District 82 in the North Carolina House of Representatives. |
