Bio

I was born and raised in Caldwell County and I still call it my home to this day. The values I learned here have shaped me and made me who I am today. Without these values and the grace of God, I would not have been able to become the first person in my family to earn a college degree or go on to graduate from law school. Education taught me a lot, but Caldwell County is where I learned the lessons that have shaped my life. My goal as Caldwell County's Representative is to make sure we have a strong, conservative voice in Raleigh, and I'm proud of the work we have been able to accomplish together. If I am given the opportunity to continue to serve the citizens of Caldwell County in Raleigh, I will continue to make sure our voice is heard by advocating for lower taxes, economic development, strengthening our education system, and most importantly I will continue to work to protect our religious liberties, our 2nd amendment rights, and the right to life for the unborn. Ronald Reagan said "There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right." The answers to our county, state, and nation's problems lie in the conservative principles that made us great. I'll continue fight on behalf of our county in Raleigh to make sure those conservative principles are followed. I ask for your support, your vote, and most importantly, your prayers. Destin was born and raised in Lenoir and graduated from West Caldwell High School. After graduating from Appalachian State University and earning a law degree from Wake Forest University, he returned home to work as a general practice attorney and give back to his local community. He serves as Brotherhood Director at Union Grove Baptist Church in Lenoir.
