I am the ND State Senator of District 4.
I'm married and my wife, Elizabeth, and I have nine children. My parents are Dan (KB Electric, New Town) and Beatrice (Fox) Kannianen, and Darlene Kannianen (Minot). My father- and mother-in-law, Chuck and Joy Walen, live in New Town.
While serving a two-year mission in Spain I had great experiences in serving and associating with people of all different nationalities and races. I learned great lessons on listening, empathy, serving others without expectation of reward, and of putting others before self that have continued to serve me well in current family, business, church, and government capacities. I'm honored to call many residents of District 4 friends, and I look forward to meeting many more of the good people of our district in order to understand their concerns and their views and opinions on the issues facing our state and district. |
