| Sean Cleary is a third-generation Bismarck resident who is grateful to call this community home.
Sean is an alumnus of the University of Mary and an active member in the community. He is a member of the Rotary, board member for the Bismarck-Mandan Tennis Association, and a member of the Corpus Christi parish.
After college, Sean moved to Washington DC to serve on the staff of U.S. Senator John Hoeven. He returned to North Dakota to earn a master's degree in applied economics, and he worked as a data analyst following graduate school in the education and insurance industries. Later, Sean would move home to Bismarck and join the staff of Governor Doug Burgum, where he focused on healthcare and financial services policy. As an advisor to the governor, Sean worked with the Legislature, cabinet officials, and other statewide elected leaders to advance policies to unlock North Dakota's potential. Currently, Sean works for the Medora Foundation. His experience in public service has given him the opportunity to work at both the state and federal level on behalf of North Dakotans.
Today, Sean is running for the legislature because he wants to continue serving his community and strengthen it for years to come. He will fight for quality educational opportunities, good-paying jobs, and strong communities.
We must ensure North Dakota is business-friendly and our citizens have every opportunity to succeed. As your Senator, Sean will fight to make sure the state government is responsible with taxpayer's dollars.
Sean and his wife Amy were married in December of 2020. They welcomed their first child, Audrey, in January of 2022. |
