Education- Graduate of Seward High School, 1989; Texas A&M University (B.S. in industrial engineering, magna cum laude), 1993.
Family- Married John Hughes, July 5, 1996; three children- Lena, Anna and Hank.
Occupation- Substitute teacher and exercise instructor
Former- Engineering consultant
Member- vice president, Seward Public School Board; Holy Savior Lutheran Church; Seward Jr. Women's Club (president, vice president, secretary, treasurer); board, Seward Heartfelt Inc.; Seward County Republicans; Seward Changing the Game Committee; Meals on Wheels.
