| Assemblyman Dave Bailey, Jr. is serving his first term in the New Jersey General Assembly, representing Salem, Gloucester, and Cumberland Counties. He currently serves on the Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee, and the Assembly Telecommunications and Utilities Committee. Born and raised in Salem County, Assemblyman Bailey is particularly committed to tackling issues that most affect New Jersey's rural voters, including access to healthcare services and improving public transportation infrastructure.
Assemblyman Bailey is the Chief Executive Officer of the faith-based non-profit Ranch Hope, where he leads a dynamic team of 200 staff, including the Board of Directors, licensed clinicians, educators, health care and management professionals, volunteers, and support staff.
Dave has spent his professional life advocating for policies and funding for children, youth and families focusing on mental health and educational services at the federal, state, and local levels. He plans to continue this work in his role as Assemblyman, using his expertise to craft policy benefitting underserved children and families throughout New Jersey.
Civic and Volunteer Service
Prior to his election, Dave served on the Boards of the New Jersey Alliance for Children, Youth and Families, (Chair of the Government Relations Committee since 2013), Salem County Chamber of Commerce (Chair 2014-15), Salem Community College Foundation, the Non Profit Development Council of Southern New Jersey and previously on the Salem Medical Center Advisory Committee. Dave has been a volunteer with Meals on Wheels since 2018, a member of the Rotary Club of Woodstown (President 2005-07, Paul Harris Fellow) since 2004, and since 2022 a youth Level 1 mountain bike coach with NICA NJ.

Dave was awarded Non Profit Development Center of Southern New Jersey's "Community Partner of the Year Award" in 2020, Calvary Community Development Corporation's "Community Builder's Faith Leader Award" in 2015 and the Salem County Human Service Advisory Board's
"Libby Fogg Community Service Award" in 2015. Education and Personal Life
He and his wife Julie (PSU '90) met at University Park and are the proud parents of 3 young adults (Temple Grad, PSU Grad and Temple Student) who know how to laugh at themselves (and him), care about others, and explore the world. They are members of the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit where Dave has served on Parish Pastoral Council and Capital Campaign Committees.
Dave received a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State (University Park) in 1989 and MS in Non Profit Management from Eastern University, St. David's, PA, in 2004. |
