| Cody Harris learned the value of hard work when his family lost everything during the savings and loan crisis. To make ends meet, they leased a small tract of land outside Palestine and grew vegetables. At the age of 7, Cody would get up at 5am to pick produce and then sell it on the side of the road.
Today, Cody has built his own successful business, Liberty Land and Ranch, which specializes in farm and ranch real estate, management and development. He knows first-hand the negative impact of overbearing government regulations on rural communities and our farmers. Now more than ever, we need strong representation in Austin who understands the challenges we face and will fight to defend our values.
As State Representative, Cody will focus on securing the border, improving public education, protecting farmers and ranchers and private property owner rights, lowering property taxes, shrinking the size of government and fighting for pro-life and pro-family values.
A proud family man and Christian conservative, Cody, his wife Taylor, and their 4 children attend First Baptist Church in Palestine, where Cody is a Deacon. He is an active member of the Texas Association of Realtors, Texas Farm Bureau, Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Program (TALL), and lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. |
