Bio

State Representative Dennis Paul was first elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2014. He is currently serving his third term representing District 129, which encompasses a portion of southeast Harris County. Representative Paul serves as the Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety and as a member of the House Committee on Insurance. He is the founder and chairman of the legislative Aerospace Caucus, which was formed to promote initiatives that will secure Texas' ranking as a world leader in space exploration, science, and security. Representative Paul is a passionate advocate for his local community. He supports the Ellington Field Spaceport, the coastal barrier system, and the relocation of the U.S. Africa Command to Ellington Field, as well as property and business tax cuts and pension reform. Representative Paul is a native of Houston, a small business owner, and structural engineer. He founded Paul Engineering Inc. in January of 2002. He and his family attend St. Bernadette Catholic Church and are proud to call District 129 their home.
