Bio

I was born and raised in Darien on my family's farm. From a young age, I learned the value of hard work and personal responsibility while caring for animals and the land. My parents raised cattle and grew crops with my four siblings and I. Growing up, I was a member of 4-H, and FFA. I learned the importance of community engagement and volunteering, while also supporting agriculture. I became an avid show-woman at the Walworth County Fair, exhibiting everything from beef steers and dairy heifers, to pigs. After graduating from Delavan-Darien High School, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During my Freshman year, I was fed up with the one-sided political debate in my classes. That led me to re-found the Young Americans for Freedom chapter. It's main goals were to have a place for conservative students to hear conservative ideas. I also established a chapter of the Luce Society, which is a group that seeks to provide a place for conservative women to meet and share ideas. During my time at UW-Madison, I interned with Representative Amy Loudenbeck in the State Capitol, as well as Congressman Paul Ryan in his District Office in Janesville. I learned the day to day work of an elected official and how to respond to the people of your district. I also worked for UW-Athletics, and the DeLong Company. During my senior year, I had a fellowship with the Clare Booth Luce Center for Conservative Women in Herndon, Virginia. The Center's main goals are to empower Conservative Women on college campuses and advocate for conservative beliefs on campus and on Capitol Hill. My first job out of college was with Representative Amy Loudenbeck as a legislative aide. There, I learned the process and how to get things done for the communities you represent. I understand that you must work with others to deliver results for your district. I most recently worked as a research assistant for Representative Tony Kurtz of Wonewoc. I have a strong history advocating for conservative beliefs, and helping people with state related issues as a legislative aide and a research assistant in the State Capitol. I also have private sector experience. I truly believe if you work hard, you can be successful. I want to make sure people still have those opportunities for years to come. My husband and I decided to settle in Clinton with our dog, Ruby. I love this part of the state, its strong communities, agricultural roots, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
