| Melissa Ratcliff, a long time resident in District 46, is a candidate for Wisconsin State Assembly. The beautiful district includes the Village and Town of Cottage Grove, the Town and City of Sun Prairie, the Town of Burke, and a small portion on the far East side of Madison.
Currently, Melissa serves many of her neighbors in the district as their Supervisor on the Dane County Board. Elected three times, Melissa won her last campaign with 65% of the vote.
On the Dane County Board, she chairs the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Board and the Dane County Broadband Task Force which is working to expand access to the internet throughout the county.
She has also been elected to the Cottage Grove Village Board since 2018. Her focus in the Village has been on housing, building a public library, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Professionally, Melissa is a paralegal for a Madison law firm, where she has worked for over 20 years. An Emerge alumna, she is also a member of the Optimist Club and the Friends of the Cottage Grove Library. She has also been active in Wisconsin NOW as well as numerous other state and local organizations.
Melissa and her husband live in Cottage Grove with their two children, ages 17 and 13. |
