Rep. Glenn Barnes is serving his first term in the Arkansas House of Representatives, representing District 65, which includes portions of Jefferson County and Arkansas County.
During the 95th General Assembly, he serves on the House Public Health, Welfare, and Labor Committee and the House Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Committee.
In addition to his legislative work, Rep. Barnes is the pastor of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He previously worked as a probation officer in the Jefferson County Sixth Division Court and is an active member of the Jefferson County Economic Board and the NAACP.
Rep. Barnes holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) and a master's degree in Theology from Missionary Baptist Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Truett Seminary.
Rep. Barnes resides in Pine Bluff with his wife. Together they have seven children and six grandchildren. |
