Resident of Senate District 10 for Over 50 Years -Former Vice President of the Royal Bank of Canada -Elected to the Colorado House of Representatives from 2005 to 2012, and again from 2017 to 2020 -Elected to the Colorado State Senate in 2020, term ends in 2024 State Senator Larry Liston has lived in his Senate District 10 for over 50 years. He retired in 2008 after 33 years as an investment executive, vice-president for the Royal Bank of Canada. He has served twelve years in the Colorado General Assembly as a State Representative for House District 16 and was elected State Senator, District 10 in November 2020. State Senator Liston has consistently been recognized over the years for his leadership through awards from the Colorado Civil Justice League, American Conservative Union, United Veterans Commission of Colorado and Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, and others. State Senator Liston is a Ronald Reagan conservative and believes in limited government, strong national defense, and our men and women in blue. He is a strong advocate for free-market businesses that create jobs and a future for the citizens of our communities. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Mary Ann, for 40 wonderful years, father to Katie and granddad to Carter. He is a long-standing member of the Downtown Colorado Springs Rotary Club, active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs, enjoys golfing, hiking, and reading books on history. He especially enjoys walking the neighborhoods of his district and talking to voters.
