Bio

Tyler Sirois is a father, husband, community leader, and public servant dedicated to the principals of limited government, individual responsibility, and constitutional liberty. Tyler Isaac Sirois (pronounced sir-roy) was born at Cape Canaveral Hospital, grew up on Merritt Island, and graduated from Cocoa Beach High School in 2003 and Florida State University in 2006. In 2008, Tyler married Katy, a teacher from Tallahassee. Together, the couple have two children- Emma Kate and Jack. The family resides on Merritt Island, attends Georgianna United Methodist Church, and enjoys fishing, cooking, and spending time at the beach. Tyler has deep roots in the Brevard County community. As the county prepared for the retirement of the Space Shuttle Program, Tyler worked with the Regional Aerospace Workforce Initiative-a partnership between the Florida High Tech Corridor Council and Brevard Workforce-to help aerospace workers transition to new jobs in existing and emerging high-tech industries in our region. Currently, Tyler works to support our law enforcement, prosecutors, and victims of crime as Executive Director for the Office of State Attorney Phil Archer. In this position, Tyler is responsible for managing a $20 million budget serving nearly 300 employees between Brevard and Seminole counties. As Executive Director, Tyler is responsible for human resources, finances, paralegal and victim support, information systems, and investigations. Tyler is a longtime volunteer and past-president of the Friends of the Children's Advocacy Center of Brevard, a non-profit board dedicated to raising funds and awareness to serve the county's abused and neglected children. He is also a member of the Brevard County Civilian Military Relations Council, a group dedicated to strengthening the relationship between Brevard's civilian leadership and significant military presence. Tyler was elected to the Florida House of Representatives on November 6, 2018. Representative Sirois' goals for Florida's Space Coast include expanded student access to vocational and technical training, greater flexibility in the healthcare marketplace, restoration of the Indian River Lagoon, and a robust commercial aerospace presence. Florida House District 51 includes Port St. John, Cocoa, Rockledge, Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral, and Cocoa Beach.
