| Josie Tomkow resides in Polk City and works as a cattle rancher. She was born on October 15, 1995, in Tampa, Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida.
Tomkow was elected to the Florida House of Representatives on May 1, 2018, and has been reelected subsequently. She is an Episcopalian. Her recreational interests include supporting Gator football, hunting, and traveling.
Her legislative accomplishments have been recognized with several awards, including Legislator of the Year from the Children's Home Society (2020) and the Florida Federation of Republican Women (2020). She has also received the Florida 4-H Legislative Champion Award (2020), the Florida Public Broadcasting Legislative Champion Award (2020), and the Florida Chamber of Commerce Honor Roll (2019, 2020). Additionally, she was named Champion for Agriculture by the Florida Farm Bureau (2019, 2020) and received the Conservative Excellence Award from the American Conservative Union Foundation (2019). The Florida Coalition for Children also honored her as Legislator of the Year in 2019. |
