| Jason Brodeur was elected to the Florida Senate in 2020 and has been reelected subsequently. He previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. His public service includes membership on the Government Technology Modernization Council since 2024, as well as participation in the Governor's Government Efficiency Task Force (2015-2016, 2023-present) and the Governor's Task Force on Citizen Safety and Protection (2012-2014). He has also served on the 18th Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee, Medicaid Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics Committee, Seminole County Planning and Zoning Commission, and the City of Sanford Charter Review Committee.
Over his career, Brodeur has received numerous honors, including the Golden Eagle Honoree from the Boy Scouts of America (2024), Legislator of the Year from the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (2024), and various awards from organizations such as the Florida League of Cities, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Florida Farm Bureau, and the Florida Mental Health Advocacy Coalition.
He is a licensed Florida real estate sales associate and has been actively involved in community and professional organizations, including serving on the board of directors for the Galileo School for Gifted Learning and the University of Florida Alumni Association. He has also been a mentor at the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business and a Paul Harris Fellow with the Sanford Rotary Club.
A healthcare consultant by profession, Brodeur is married to Christy Daly Brodeur of Tallahassee. He earned a B.S. in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida in 1997, where he was involved with Florida Blue Key, the College of Agriculture Honor Court, and Theta Chi Fraternity. He later obtained an M.B.A. from the University of Florida in 2003 and an M.P.H. from Dartmouth College in 2022.
