| Colleen Burton was elected to the Florida Senate in 2022 after serving in the Florida House of Representatives from 2014 to 2022.
A former nonprofit executive director for Polk Vision and the Imperial Symphony Orchestra, she resides in Florida with her spouse, Brad Burton, originally from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. They have three children, Chris (Jen), Tim (Lisa), and Elizabeth (Grant), and three grandchildren, Blake, June, and Tucker.
She earned a B.S. in Public Administration from California State University, Sacramento, in 1980. Born in Heidelberg, Germany, she moved to Florida in 1987. She is a Roman Catholic and enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and cooking. |
