Derrick Jackson represents the citizens of District 64, which includes portions of Fayette
and Fulton counties. He is a 22-year military officer veteran, corporate general manager,
adjunct professor, entrepreneur, and leader in his community. He is known for his energy,
enthusiasm, strong business acumen, work ethic, integrity, and unwavering commitment to
serve his constituents.
Derrick has a vision and ideology that is sustained by a vast amount of leadership and
budget management experience. He is dedicated to economic development, job creation,
fiscal responsibility, education, equality, small business, inclusiveness, and being a voice for
the voiceless.
Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with a minor in marketing from
Virginia Wesleyan College; a Master of Science in Management from Troy University; and is
currently enrolled in Walden University's Doctoral program for Public Policy &
Administration.
Derrick is married to the former Michelle McClain of Charleston, South Carolina. Derrick
and Michelle have been blessed with three daughters and are residents of District 64.
Derrick is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Elizabeth Baptist Church, and several nonprofit organizations. |
