Bio

In 2014, my family relocated to Georgia and immediately became Gwinnett County residents, making our home in Grayson. Since then, the growth and progress for our family assures my wife and I, that we made the right decision to live in Gwinnett. I am running for office because I want to see every family in our community thrive, people in Grayson and Loganville deserve a State Representative that listens to them, fights for our shared values and is invested in our community. My wife Kofo Adeyina is a CPA and our three wonderful children Dami, Lade, and Layo, happily live in Grayson, GA. I coached U-8/U-9 Boys Recreational Soccer at Briscoe park for 2 years. I have been a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters where I mentored twin Brothers in which I have maintained a relationship for over 20 years. Commitment to a better Georgia Strengthening our community and state is an effort I have devoted myself to since moving to Gwinnett County in 2014. I am the past Executive Director of NAPAC, an organization that works to empower and organize the Nigerian-American Community across the nation and right here in Georgia, I also serve on the board of the Gwinnett County Democratic Party and am involved with a number of other community organizations that do everything from voter registration to providing mentorship and support to strengthen families and community. I make a point to regularly attend Grayson City Council meetings, and I serve on the Gwinnett County Tree Board, one of the community boards of Gwinnett County Government. In addition to my work in the community, one of my greatest passions is promoting quality education for our young people. My commitment to education and the development of the next generation is deeply rooted. I taught Information Technology and Project Management courses for 14 years as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Phoenix and Wayne County Community College District in Michigan. Coupled with more than 30 years of professional work experience in Information Technology for companies including General Motors, HP, and Cisco Systems. In 2020 I ran for the Gwinnett County School Board, as a public school parent, it is important to me that our schools have the resources needed to thrive and help every student succeed and reach their dreams. My campaign was about restoring hope in education, and now as a State Representative for District 110 I want to continue to be a leader on education and supporting our youth at the state level. I have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron in Ohio and a Master's in Management Information Systems from The Lawrence Technological University in Michigan. Additionally, I am a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
