Senator Tim Bearden was elected to the Georgia State
Senate to represent the 30th District in February 2024.
Sen. Bearden's districts include Carroll, Douglas,
Haralson, and Paulding counties. Sen. Bearden serves as a member of the following Senate
Committees- Banking & Financial Institutions; Education
& Youth; Science & Technology; Veterans, Military, &
Homeland Security. Before serving as State Senator, he served as a State Representative for House District 68, which includes parts
of Carroll and Douglas Counties. As State Representative, he served as the Chairman of Public Safety and
Homeland Security where he advocated for his fellow members in law enforcement.
Tim Bearden has been a resident of West Georgia since moving to Haralson County in 1975, and graduating
from Bremen High School. He started his career in law enforcement with the Villa Rica Police Department
rising to the rank of Sergeant with the motorcycle division for the Douglasville Police Department. Sen. Bearden served as the Executive Director of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, which he was
appointed to by former Governor Nathan Deal. Additionally, Sen. Bearden has worked as Deputy Chief of Staff
for the Georgia Speaker of the House, a real estate broker and an entrepreneur. Throughout his various roles in government affairs, Sen. Bearden has championed and defended conservative
values. He has been advocating for more jobs and lower taxes, supporting life, and strengthening the state's
immigration laws.
Sen. Bearden currently works in the private sector as a government affairs manager. He lives in Carrollton
with his wife of 29 years, Triska, and has two adult children. |
