I am a native of Aurelia, Iowa and a life-long Iowan. During my career I have had the opportunity to lead school districts and serve communities in O'Brien, Osceola, Buena Vista and Cherokee county. I care deeply for these communities and the future of our state. As a long time resident and native of Northwest Iowa, I share the values and priorities of these communities. I am Pro-Life, Pro-2nd Amendment and Pro-Tax Reform. I believe in protecting our personal freedoms, protecting our civil liberties, and protecting the rights of the unborn . Our personal freedoms and civil liberties have come under attack like no other time in our history. Cancel culture has taken over our society. Our 1st and 2nd amendment rights are continually under attack. We can no longer stand by idly. Now is the time for citizens, with the courage to lead, to step forward and take on these challenges at every level of government. Iowa has a long-standing reputation for having a great educational system. I will not stand by and allow agendas that are in opposition to our family and community values, to take root in our schools. We need to ensure that all of our children have access to a world class education that is free from bias and socialist agendas. Critical Race Theory, and the 1619 Project have no place in our schools. Growing our rural economy is key to a strong economy for the state of Iowa as a whole. We need to develop policies that encourage entrepreneurship, and promote high-paying jobs. I will work for tax-reform that encourages entrepreneurship, job growth and allows hardworking Iowans to keep more of their paychecks. And I will use my experience and expertise to assist communities in providing affordable, safe daycare so families can live happy and productive lives. Access to mental health care services is a growing concern across our state, and especially in Northwest Iowa. Wait times for an appointment are often times measured in weeks. When a person needs mental health care services, they are needed today! Recruiting and retaining psychiatrist, psychologists and mental health counselors needs to be a priority in this state. We can and must do better!
