Rachelle Aud Crowe is a lifelong resident of Madison County and a skilled prosecutor with over a decade of experience at the Madison County State's Attorney's office. Rachelle grew up in Wood River and was raised in a family with deep manufacturing roots. Her family has worked at some of the largest manufacturing centers in our region, including Olin, Laclede Steel and Phillips 66 Wood River refinery. Spending her childhood and professional life in Madison County, Rachelle understands first-hand the unique set of issues facing the Metro-East. Rachelle's parents emphasized education and the value of public education. She graduated from Roxana High School, Lewis and Clark Community College and the University of Missouri-St. Louis, all of which prepared her for her legal education at St. Louis University School of Law. Rachelle was hired as a prosecutor in the Madison County State's Attorney's office in 2006. In 2013, she was assigned to the Violent Crimes Division, where she has worked to protect our communities by ensuring violent criminals are off the streets and justice is delivered to victims and their families. In 2018, Rachelle was elected to the Illinois State Senate. Since elected, she has prioritized fighting for job training programs and quality education for Metro-East students. She currently resides in Glen Carbon with her husband, Jim, and their two children.
