Biography-
State Rep. Jake Teshka was elected to serve House District 7 in 2020. Born and raised in St. Joseph County, he graduated from St. Joseph High School in South Bend.
After college, Teshka worked in both the private and public sectors. In addition to his job as a business development officer for Interra Credit Union, he continued focusing on making a positive impact in his community. Most recently, he served as Common Council Representative for the city of South Bend's 5th District until elected to the Indiana House of Representatives. While on the city council, Teshka sat on the South Bend Transpo Board of Directors and the South Bend Redevelopment Commission.
Teshka lives in South Bend with his wife and two children. He and his family are active members of Granger Community Church, and Teshka helps support his community as a member of Kiwanis and reading coach volunteer with the United Way. |
