An education consultant today, Mike has partnered with Leadership Squared in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky - helping to deliver leadership development programs and school initiatives to organizations. For 27 years, Mike worked for the Diocese of Covington's Catholic school system. He spent 12 of those years in the Department of Catholic Schools, serving as assistant superintendent and superintendent of schools. He also served at Covington Catholic High School- five years as the principal, four years as a guidance counselor, and six years as a teacher. Mike spent time as a Track and Field Head Coach, Community Service Coordinator, Assistant Athletic Director, Intramural Basketball League Coordinator, and a 9th Region basketball official. "I am confident and ready to join our local legislators in making this region the best place to live. There are proven strategies that we can rely on to improve our community and our quality of life and make our government work better for our hard-working families." Mike Clines was raised in southern Campbell County and his family history is tied to the area he still calls home. As early as 1901, Mike's great grandfather, Joseph Heringer, was a big name in the region and wore many hats as- first president of the Campbell County Farmers Fire Insurance Company, company director and secretary of the Bank of Alexandria, first president of the Four Mile and Twelve Mile Turnpike Company, sole owner of the Grant's Lick and Old State Road Turnpike, and deputy county clerk. Mike's grandparents, Joseph and Bertha Schafer Heringer, were farmers and lifelong residents of Campbell County. This is also where Mike's parents, Bob and Rosemary Heringer Clines, raised their four children. Growing up, Mike Clines attended St. Mary Elementary School and Bishop Brossart High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Northern Kentucky University and a Master of Educational Administration from the University of Cincinnati. Mike lives in Alexandria with his wife, Tammy, a public elementary school librarian, and their three sons.
