DISTRICT State Rep. Matt Maddock was elected to serve in the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2018. He represents the 44th District, which includes the residents of Highland Township, White Lake Township, Springfield Township, Milford Township, the Southwest section of Waterford Township, as well as the Village of Milford. PROFESSIONAL Matt has been a business owner for 30 years. During his career, he has been a Court Officer, a Process Server, a Detective, and has also been a Bail Bondsman for 30 years. He is President of the A-1 Bail Bond Agency which operates throughout Michigan. COMMITTEES Rep. Maddock serves as a member on the House Appropriations Committee and chair of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules. He also serves a chair to the House Appropriations subcommittee on Transportation, in addition to being a member on the Corrections, Joint Capitol Outlay and Judiciary subcommittees. PUBLIC OFFICE AND AFFILIATIONS Matt has been an elected Precinct Delegate for 20 years. The Maddocks are also the founders of the Michigan Conservative Coalition, founding members of the West Oakland County Tea Party and have served on the 11th Congressional District Committee. Matt also served on the Oakland County Republican Party Executive Committee. Matt lives in the Village of Milford and has served on the Parks and Recreation Committee. Matt Maddock is a member of the NRA, Gun Owners of America and the National Association for Gun Rights and a past board member of Citizens for Traditional Values and the Michigan Professional Bail Agents Association. PERSONAL Matt and Meshawn have been married for 23 years. They have three children. Gunther, Winsome and Parker. Matt attends Cornerstone Highland Church and has volunteered for the youth ministry. In 2016 Matt played an instrumental role in the election of President Donald Trump, organizing the largest Trump Campaign office in the state.
