| ABOUT THE REPRESENTATIVE
District
Rep. Dave Prestin was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2022. He represents the 108th District, which includes the Upper Peninsula counties of Delta, Menominee, Schoolcraft, Luce as well as parts of Chippewa, and Mackinac.
Committees
Rep. Prestin serves as a member on the House Energy, Communications and Technology and Local Government and Municipal Finance.
Education
Rep. Presin studied at the following schools- Bay De Noc Community College, Waukesha County Technical College, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Professional
Rep. Prestin is a first responder for his community, serving as a hospital-based paramedic fulfilling both emergency room, as well as 911 duties for the Bay Area hospital. He has also served as a 13-year volunteer firefighter for the Cedarville Volunteer Fire Department. Rep. Prestin has also been a small business specialist owning, managing and rehabilitating neglected properties - most recently Alger Delta Electrical Cooperative, and the Cedar River Plaza.
Public Office and Affiliations
Rep. Prestin served 4 years on the Menominee County Board of Commissioners. He also served 9 years on the Alger Delta Electrical Cooperative Board of Directors (a distributive energy cooperative serving 10,000-plus members in the UP).

Rep. Prestin has been married to his wife, Kathie, for 22 years. They live in Cedar River with their daughter, Mattie. |
